Angela, a former young teacher who started the site in 2003, hoped to offer practical suggestions for classrooms as well as inspire teachers to adopt an optimistic mindset so that they could enjoy what they do. The initial name was Ms. Powell's Teaching Management Ideas until 2008, when the website became The Cornerstone for Teachers. This was after she published her first piece of work. Angela's training program for professional growth to improve productivity is being implemented by more than 45 000 schools in the context of the 40-hour Workweek. It was originally designed for teachers, 40 Hour was later expanded to include instructional coaches, as well as administrators. The program helps teachers become more deliberate with their contractual time and instruction so that they can concentrate on the things that matter.
