Richard B. Cheney is an American businessman, public servant as well as a politician. Cheney is a recognizable figure in Washington for many years. George W. Bush was the president of the 4th generation to whom he served. Bush nominated Cheney to be his vice president running partner in July of 2000. Bush cited Cheney's wisdom, judgment, and experience. Dick Cheney, who served as the United States as the chief of staff and secretary under a president as well as in Congress has been a great serving our country. Republicans as well as Democrats alike admire Cheney due to his integrity. Cheney has said that he regards his role as an honest and discreet adviser to Bush's administration. When he accepted the Republican vice-presidential nod Cheney declared that he's looking forward to serving with one who can work to achieve his goals by engaging across the partisan divide and working alongside political adversaries in good faith and common purpose. Richard Bruce Cheney is the son of Richard Herbert Cheney of the late Marjorie Lauraine Dickey. He was born on the 30th of January 1941, in Lincoln Nebraska. When he was 13 years old, Bruce and his family moved in Casper (in the state of Wyoming) which is where his father worked as the director of the U.S. Department of Agriculture's land conservation districts.
